“Mooi” means “beautiful” in Dutch; when, in 2001, Marcel Wanders and Casper Vissers established the company they decided to get inspired by this word  to name their new brand. The third “o” is a classy touch that makes the name unforgettable. Moooi has shortly become a reference point and inspiration for international design. The brand conveys positive values, such as pushing to grow,  looking to the future with enthusiasm. A strong, determined character which has earned the brand numerous awards. 
Moooi has been collaborating with prestigious names such as Maarten Baas, for the Smoke collection, and  Neri&Hu, with their Emperor Moooi lamps; but also Nika Zupanc, with her Golden Chair and the Lolita collection. Creations from the co-founder, designer Marcel Wanders, include the Monster chair, the V.I.P. Chair and the Container table. Simply inimitable.
