Established in 1962 by Dino Gavina and Cesare Cassina, Flos is possibly the best-known lighting Italian brand. The Flos lamps went down in design history and have been displayed in leading museums all over the world. The iconic Arco lamps designed by the Castiglioni brothers are part of the permanent collection of the Triennale Design Museum in Milan and of  the MoMA in New York. Arco was the first industrial design object to be granted copyright protection, just like a work of art. Achille Castiglioni also created the Taccia and the Parentesi lamps that have maintained their timeless appeal still today. 
Collaborations with world-known designers have always been one of Flos’ signature features. Among them, Philippe Starck with his Miss Sissi Flos and Jasper Morrison for the Glo Ball collection.
