DCW éditions was established in 2008 by Philippe Cazer and Frédéric Winkler. The founders’ goal was to produce authentic and timeless lighting items, “well crafted” objects from the design phase to production. The DCW éditions products are conceived to last through time and to testify the transition from one generation to the next: the faithful companions of “good living”. The brand’s debuted with the re-edition of the celebrated Lampe Gras, an icon of international design designed by Bernard-Albin Gras in 1922. Much coveted by collectors, the lamp was also appreciated by Le Corbusier and George Braque, intrigued by its simple lines and ergonomic shape. In 2013 the Mantis by Bernard Schottlander became part of the DCW éditions collection: a lightweight, sculptural and versatile lamp that pays homage to artist Alexander Calder. The latest offering from the brand is the Here Comes The Sun lamp, created by Bertrand Balas in 1970 and re-edited by DCW éditions in 2015, a suspension lamp that creates a magical atmosphere in any setting.
