Brokis was established in the Czech Republic in 2006 by entrepreneur Jan Rabell as a platform to preserve and innovate  the Bohemian heritage of glass making and blowing. The products are the result of blown glass teamed with materials such as handcrafted wood and metal, a harmonious combination of design, high quality and craftsmanship. 
In addition to revisiting tradition, Brokis also promotes innovation in the sector of lighting technology and in the production process. The cutting edge, complex technology behind Night Birds, designed by Boris Klimek, required as many as two years of research and experiments before achieving the desired result.
