Established in the 1930s by designer George Carwardine, Anglepoise is a quintessentially British brand that has created timeless classics in the sector of designer lighting systems. Inspired by vehicles’ suspension systems, the Anglepoise lamp is the archetype of modern desk lamps: adjustable, flexible, solid yet lightweight. 
With its  versatile design and appealing anthropomorphous silhouette, the Anglepoise Original 1227 has spawned a 9-piece collection intended for various settings: table, wall, ceiling and floor. Each style is available in its classic colors and, to pay homage to tradition, features a special fabric-covered wire and a chromed finishing. 
Based on Carwardine’s original design, Sir Kenneth Grange, the company’s Design Director since 2003, has developed the Type 75 collection, a modern take on the first iconic Anglepoise lamp. Sir Kenneth Grange has also started collaborations with Paul Smith, Margaret Howell and the Roald Dahl Museum.
